Suspect Arrested in Armed Robbery on Fennell Avenue East

Hamilton Police have arrested and charged a male in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store on Fennell Avenue East near Upper Ottawa Street during the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 16, 2025.
At approximately 12:48 am, a lone male entered the store, concealed a firearm, and demanded cash from the employee before fleeing the scene. No physical injuries were reported.
Following an investigation by the Hamilton Police BEAR Unit, the suspect was identified as 21-year-old Lachlan Rabut of Hamilton. Rabut was taken into custody and charged with the following.
- Robbery with a firearm
- Fail to comply with release order
