BOSCH 11264EVS 1-5/8 SDS-Max Combo Hammer

On January 14, 2025, a member of the Hamilton community left their Honda CR-V running unattended as they retrieved their child from daycare. Opportunistic teens stole the vehicle while unguarded and fled. The victim lost not only their vehicle but also their cellphone and personal belongings. Prior to the theft of the vehicle, the victim’s spouse had been admitted to hospital for medical complications. Hours later, with no phone and no transportation, a neighbour was contacted by the hospitalized spouse to locate the victim and attend the hospital immediately. When the victim arrived at hospital they discovered their spouse had undergone an emergency surgery and their baby was delivered. The victim missed the birth of their child because their vehicle and phone had been stolen.

On January 21, 2021 Hamilton Police located the stolen CR-V and found six youths in the vehicle with two of them hiding in the trunk. All the teens were arrested and the Honda CR-V was recovered. Additionally, one youth was arrested at a nearby residence in connection with this crime spree. Some of the charges date back to vehicle thefts from recreation centres in September of 2024.
