Three Youths Arrested After High-End Sunglasses Theft

Three youths have been arrested after stealing over one thousand dollars’ worth of high-end sunglasses from a local glasses shop.
On Monday March 31, 2025, at approximately 4:00 pm, Hamilton Police were called to a shop located in Limeridge Mall for a report of a theft. Store owners observed two male youths steal three pairs of high-end sunglasses worth a total value of $1500.00. The youths then departed on foot, but not before the store owner was able to capture a detailed description of them.
Police quickly located and arrested the pair along with a third male. During a search of their belongings, officers discovered two bottles of bear spray in addition to the stolen sunglasses.
The three youths were charged with the following:
- Theft under $5000.00
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00
- Possession of a prohibited device
