Hamilton Police have charged three youths in connection with an assault that occurred near a business in the Stoney Creek area.

On February 27, 2026, at approximately 12:08 pm, police responded to reports of an assault outside a business in Stoney Creek. The victim, a teenage student, had attended the business during her lunch period when the incident occurred.

Investigators determined that the victim had been approached by several youths and agreed to step outside the establishment. Once outside, the victim was physically assaulted by three masked female youths.

A staff member from the business intervened, causing the suspects to flee the area.

The victim later returned to her nearby secondary school where staff contacted emergency services. Hamilton Paramedic Service transported her to hospital as a precaution. She was later assessed and reported to be in stable condition.

As a result of the investigation, three female youths, aged 14 and 15, have been charged with:

  • Assault
  • Disguise with Intent to Commit an Offence

All three accused were arrested and later released on undertakings with conditions.

Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identities of the accused cannot be released.

Police continue to work with school officials to support student safety and address incidents involving youth in the community.
