Two Arrested In Stolen Cellphone Heist

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit have arrested and charged two parties for their role in trafficking $120,000 worth of Bell Canada cellphones.
In December 2024 and January 2025 suspects broke into a warehouse operated by T Force Logistics in Stoney Creek ON. They specifically targeted cellphones belonging to Bell Canada. Working with investigators at Bell, the Hamilton Police Break and Enter Auto Theft and Robbery (BEAR) unit was able to track the stolen cellphones to two businesses: Link It Up at 34 Bristol, Mississauga and Amrit Electronics in Etobicoke.
Search warrants were executed at both businesses. Investigators recovered:
- 183 stolen iPhone 16 Pro Max phones – retail value $250,000 - $450,000
- $65,000 in Canadian currency and $4,000 in US currency
- 16.5kg of silver bars worth $34,000
- Stolen Corporate SIM cards used to unlock hundreds of stolen phones
- Packages in the name of Bell customers that had been defrauded of new iPhones by overseas scam call centers
Navjot Singh, a 38-year-old male from Oakville, was arrested and has been charged with the following:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00
- Trafficking Property Obtained by Crime
Puneet Singh, a 45-year-old male from Oakville, also arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Trafficking Property Obtained by Crime
- Proceeds of Crime Over $5000
- Fraud Over $5000
