Update: Arrests Made in 2024 Shooting

The Hamilton Police Service has arrested three individuals in connection with a shooting and robbery that occurred on March 3, 2024.
On March 3, 2024, two victims attended the area of Concession Road 6 East and Centre Road to sell vape pens. Upon arrival, they were robbed of their property and their motor vehicle. During the robbery, one of the suspects discharged a single round from a firearm. No injuries were reported.
The stolen vehicle was recovered a short time later in Peel Region.
Hamilton Police Shooting Response Team investigators have been actively working on this case since the incident occurred. As a result of the ongoing investigation, three individuals from Peel Region have now been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.
Two 18-year-olds and one 19-year-old are jointly charged with the following offences:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (x2)
- Robbery with a Firearm (x2)
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Reckless Discharge of a Firearm
At the time of the incident, all three accused were youths. As a result, their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
