UPDATE: Arrests Made in Hate-Motivated Assault

Hamilton Police have arrested two individuals in connection with a hate-motivated assault that occurred on Hess Street South.
On Saturday, October 25, 2025, at approximately 2:30 am, a physical altercation took place involving multiple individuals. During the incident, a transgender community member was viciously assaulted. Video obtained from the area captured portions of the attack and the involved individuals.
Following an investigation by the Hamilton Police Hate Crime Unit, two men were arrested on November 26, 2025.
- Accused One, a 23-year-old Hamilton man, has been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 30, 2025
- Accused Two, a 21-year-old Hamilton man, has also been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and is set to appear in court on December 23, 2025
