Hamilton Police have arrested a 27-year-old male suspected of sexually assaulting a female at a residence in Twenty Place.
On Thursday, May 9, 2024, at approximately 11:00 pm, the suspect entered a residence in the Twenty Place community, located near Twenty Road and Upper James Street in the City of Hamilton. A female victim was assaulted by the suspect before he fled out the front door.
After investigation, Hamilton Police have arrested Nelson Melo, 27-years-old, from Hamilton. Melo was located at his residence yesterday afternoon. He has been charged with the following:
- Sexual assault
- Break and enter
- Utter threat
