Update: Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Collision With Bus

On Wednesday June 12, 2024, at approximately 8:15pm, a collision occurred on Upper James Street at the entrance to the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) bus terminal located at 2200 Upper James Street in the City of Hamilton.
An HSR bus was northbound on Upper James Street and attempting to turn left into the bus terminal when a southbound motorcycle collided into the side of the bus. The 18-year-old male driver of the 2008 Suzuki motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The 61-year-old female driver of the bus was uninjured and there were no other people on board at that time.
After conducting a thorough investigation, the Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit determined that the HSR bus driver was not at fault. As a result, no charges will be pursued.
