UPDATE: Vehicle Jacking Investigation in East Hamilton

On Monday June 2, 2025 at approximately 5:00 pm, Hamilton Police Officers observed a motor vehicle collision occur near the intersection of Main Street East and Tuxedo Avenue. A red Toyota Camry had collided with a black Toyota Highlander and both vehicles remained on scene.
The officers approached the vehicles to render aid, however, the driver of the red Toyota Camry proceeded to flee on foot. The suspect ran to the intersection of Main Street East and Kenilworth Avenue where he then opened the door of an idling grey Toyota Highlander and removed the driver. He then conducted a U-Turn and fled northbound on Kenilworth Avenue North in the newly stolen vehicle. The Toyota Highlander has since been recovered by investigators.
