Wanted- Police Seeking Armed and Dangerous Offender

Hamilton Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Hamilton man considered armed and dangerous.
On Thursday, May 30, 2024, at approximately 8:30 pm, Hamilton Police were dispatched to a disturbance located at 175 Hunter Street West in the City of Hamilton. Multiple 911 calls were received that two males were in the hallway trying to break into a residential unit, and that they had firearms. A female victim was in the hallway screaming and covered in blood.
Upon arrival, officers located a woman in her 40s with a significant laceration on her forehead, caused by being struck with a firearm. The victim was quickly transported to a hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and subsequently released.
During the incident, a woman in her 70s intervened to help the initial victim. In response, the male suspects robbed the woman of her cell phone, resulting in a minor injury to her.
These two males then fled the apartment on foot.
Divisional Detectives are continuing to investigate this incident.
Detectives are announcing they have identified one of the two suspects involved in this matter, 23-year-old, Alexander La of Hamilton.
La should be considered armed and dangerous. Police are asking that you call 911 immediately if you know of his whereabouts, or if he is observed in the community.

Police continue to investigate into the identity of the second male suspect.
