A DRIVER WAS CHARGED FOR FAILING TO HAVE AN IGNITION INTERLOCK DEVICE

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver who failed to have an ignition interlock device.
On Friday March 20, 2026, at approximately 2:40 am, members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Front Street, West Nipissing.
The driver was on conditions, to operate a motor vehicle with an ignition interlock device, which the vehicle did not have installed.
As a result of the investigation, Destinee RESTOULE, 30 years-of-age, from Dokis First Nation, was arrested and charged with, - Fail to comply with Probation Order - two counts
- Drive motor vehicle, no validation on plate
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 7, 2026, in North Bay.
