COMMERCIAL DRIVER CHARGED FOR DRIVING WHILE UNDER SURSPENSION

(NORTH BAY, ON) - One person is facing charges after being stopped while operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) with a suspended driver’s licence.
On May 19, 2026, at approximately 6:20 pm, members of the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint involving a southbound CMV travelling on Highway 11, North Bay.
Police located and stopped the vehicle. During the investigation, officers determined the driver was operating the CMV while under suspension.
As a result, a 22-year-old individual from Nova Scotia was charged with:

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on July 3, 2026.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days at the owner’s expense.
