TRAFFIC STOP RESULTED IN DRUG AND FIREARM CHARGES

(NIPISSING WEST, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with drug and firearms offences.
On Wednesday October 29, 2025, at approximately 8:10 pm, members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP conducted a traffic stop on Church Street, West Nipissing.
A search of the vehicle located two replica hand guns and drugs suspected to be Cocaine and fentanyl.
As a result of the investigation the driver, Billy-Joe LAVALLEE, 42 years-of-age, from West Nipissing was arrested and charged with, - Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance- two counts
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday December 4, 2025, in North Bay.
