TRAFFIC COMPLAINT RESULTED IN IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person with impaired driving after responding to a traffic complaint.
On Monday, June 1, 2026, at approximately 1:50 am, members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, responded to a possible impaired driver on Highway 17, West Nipissing.
The vehicle was located and the driver, Katelyn SCHOEDER, 35 years old, from Balderson was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Assault a Peace Officer
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 2, 2026, in North Bay.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
