(NORTH BAY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge two people in relation to a drug warrant at a residence in North Bay.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at approximately 7:30 pm, the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine executed a warrant at a residence on Lakeshore Drive, in North Bay.

As a result of the investigation, police seized an amount of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and morphine from the residence. Also seized was approximately $2,000 in Canadian currency.

Roy GOUVEIA, 24-years-old, of Scarborough, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid - three counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

Cindy MORIN, 59-years-old, of North Bay, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid - three counts
  • Fail to comply with probation order

Both accused remain in custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on a later date.
