(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a driver with drug related offences after a traffic stop.

On Wednesday December 31, 2025, at approximately 11:40 am, members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, were alerted by the Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system, of a vehicles’ invalid licence plate on Highway 17, West Nipissing.

As a result of the investigation, a search of the vehicle located drugs suspected to be methamphetamine

The driver Connor SCOTT, 30 years-of-age, from Levack was arrested and charged with, possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine - two counts.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on February 5, 2026, in North Bay.
