(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - A driver is facing charges following a two-vehicle collision in Haldimand County.

On January 24, 2026, at approximately 5:50 pm, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Argyle Street and Caithness Street, Caledonia.

The investigation determined that a pick-up truck and a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) collided at that intersection. No injuries were reported.

David JANSEN, 58-years-old of Binbrook has been charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired
  • Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
  • Follow Too Closely

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on March 10, 2026.
