Police Seeking Assistance

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - A pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being struck by a motor vehicle.

On May 7, 2026, at approximately 11:20 am, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a fail to remain collision near the intersection of Mississauga Road and New Credit Road, Mississaugas of the Credit, First Nation territory.

The investigation determined that an individual was walking westbound on the northside shoulder of the roadway when they were struck from behind.

The vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on New Credit Road and is described to be a white coloured pick-up truck with a light bar on the roof.

CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed and investigators are requesting residents in the area to review any video surveillance from that time and contact the OPP if anything was captured that would assist this ongoing investigation.
