(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - An individual is facing impaired driving related charges following a traffic complaint.
On January 5, 2026, at approximately 8:45 pm, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a traffic complaint on Malcolm Crescent, Caledonia.
The vehicle was located, and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was subsequently taken into custody.
Jay THAKOR, 25-years-old of Caledonia has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on February 3, 2026.
