DOMESTIC ASSAULT INVESTIGATION - ONE PERSON ARRESTED and CHARGED
(HALDIMAND, ON) - Members of the Haldimand County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual following a domestic-related incident in Haldimand County, Ontario.
On December 18, 2025, at approximately 2:06 pm, Haldimand County OPP responded to a report of an assault at a residence in Haldimand County.
Investigation determined that a verbal argument between two individuals escalated into a physical altercation involving a kitchen knife as a weapon. One person sustained minor injuries as a result. The involved parties are known to one another.
As a result of the investigation, one 20-year-old female from the city of Hamilton was charged with:
- Assault - Spousal
- Assault with a weapon
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga later.
