FATAL COLLISION IN HALDIMAND COUNTY

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - A two-vehicle collision has claimed one life and sent another to hospital.
On October 14, 2025, at approximately 10:10 am, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Haldimand County Paramedic Services and Fire Services responded to a collision at the intersection of Highway 3 and Haldimand Road 20, near Hagersville.
Upon arrival, emergency services located a passenger van and a transport truck that had collided.
The passenger in the minivan was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the driver of the same vehicle was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The deceased has been identified as a 95-year-old from Lowbanks.
Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team attended to assist with the investigation.
The roads surrounding the intersection were closed for investigation but have since re-opened.
