STUNT DRIVING CHARGE IN HALDIMAND COUNTY

(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - A driver is facing charges following a traffic stop.
On March 12, 2026, at approximately 12:05 pm, a member from the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle travelling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed on Haldimand Road, 20, Haldimand County.
A traffic stop was conducted, and it was determined that the vehicle was occupied by more passengers than seatbelts were available, with one individual being concealed in the rear of the vehicle.
A 47-year-old from Dunnville is facing the following charges under the Highway Traffic Act:
- Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt
- Speeding 1 - 49 km/h Over Posted Limit
The accused driver’s licence has been suspended for 30 days, the vehicle has been impounded for 14 days as per legislation, and they are scheduled to appear in court on a later date.
