Police Investigate Third Incident This Week

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) - A third incident of an Emergency Fraud Call (swatting) in Haldimand County is being investigated.

Members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a residence on Haldimand Road 53 near Jarvis on September 4, 2025, at approximately 8:20 pm to a report of a family dispute.

The investigation determined that there was no emergency and no threat to public safety.

Investigators believe all three calls are connected to the same individual or individuals.

Members of the Haldimand County Major Crime Unit are assisting with the sequence of incidents and have reason to believe that these calls are being generated from a remote location outside of Canada using Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology.
