(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - Police are investigating a theft of a firearm that took place at a residential property in Haldimand County.
On Wednesday February 4, 2026, at approximately 11:00 am, the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a theft of a firearm from an address on Haldibrook Road that occurred sometime overnight.
The investigation determined that unknown individuals attended the property and entered a parked motor vehicle, removing a long gun.
The stolen firearm is described to be a bolt action rifle.
