ELGIN OPP SEEKING ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING 911 CALLER

(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) - The Elgin County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s help in locating the individual who called 911 from the Dalewood Conservation Area.
On Sunday, February 15, 2026, at approximately 2:00 am the Elgin County OPP responded to a report from the emergency medical services that they were unable to locate a person in distress. Emergency medical services attended and were unable to locate the individual. Elgin OPP, with the assistance of the Canine Unit and the Emergency Response Team have been searching for the individual.
There is an increased police presence in the area while we continue to search for the individual who called for help.
