(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) Two people were injured after a serious collision on Quaker Road in the Municipality of Central Elgin.

On Friday, November 14, 2025, at approximately 12:57 pm, Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Central Elgin Fire and Elgin Emergency Medical Services responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and sedan at the intersection of Quaker Road and Southdale Line.

The passenger of the sedan, a 16-year-old of St. Thomas, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. They have since died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

The driver of the sedan was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
