(BAYHAM, ON) - An individual is facing charges following a traffic stop.

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, at approximately 3:59 pm, police stopped and investigated a vehicle on Light Line in the Municipality of Bayham.

George LACOURSE, a 72-year-old from Port Burwell was charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) (Criminal Code)
  • Operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs (Criminal Code)
  • Driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Thomas on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
