(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) One person was injured after a serious collision on Highway 40 (St. Clair Road) in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, at approximately 9:29 am, Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 40 at Electric Line.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the first vehicle, 25-year-old from the Municipality of Lakeshore was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Fail to Yield to traffic on through highway.
