(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) One person was injured after a pick-up truck left Highway 401 at Communications Road in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
On Monday, February 9, 2026, at approximately 8:55 am, Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Chatham Kent Police, Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 401 at Communications Road.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, 61-year-old from the Township of Rideau Lakes was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless Driving.
