(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - Police conducted a traffic stopped with a vehicle, which resulted in a suspended driver being further charged with stunt driving.

On Monday December 1, 2025, at 1:45 pm, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sudbury Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) Team stopped a vehicle traveling159 kilometres per hour (km/h) in a posted 90 km/h zone on Highway 17, West Nipissing.

The driver was found to be a suspended driver and had four children in the vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, a 47-year-old person from St. Charles was charged with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform stunt - Excessive speed
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit

The driver was issued a 30 day Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 45 days.The accused was issued three Provincial Summons and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 8, 2026, in West Nipissing.
