A DRIVER IS CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING AFTER A VEHICLE WENT INTO A DITCH

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person with impaired driving after investigating a motor vehicle in a ditch.
On Friday April 3, 2026, at approximately 10:00 pm, members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, responded to a single motor vehicle in a ditch on Highway 17, West Nipissing.
No injuries were reported and the driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle, then transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Harman SINGH, 26 years old, from Sudbury was charged with, operation while impaired - alcohol
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on May 7, 2026, in North Bay.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
