A Second Person Succumbs to Injuries

(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - A second person was pronounced deceased following a two-vehicle collision in West Nipissing. Police are asking the public to refrain from sharing videos online related to the incident and consider the impact on those involved and the investigation.

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, at approximately 11:40 pm, members of the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on Nipissing Street in West Nipissing. A passenger in one vehicle, a 62-year-old female from Sudbury, was pronounced deceased. Two other occupants of the vehicle reported minor injuries. Three occupants of the second vehicle were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. A fourth occupant of the second vehicle, a 15-year-old female from West Nipissing, sustained life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased at hospital.

The investigation continues and members of the public with information in relation to this incident are urged to submit it directly to police.
