(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - One person has been pronounced deceased and four others were transported to area hospitals after a two-vehicle collision in West Nipissing.
On Saturday, January 24, 2026, at approximately 11:40 pm, members of the Nipissing West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision on Nipissing Street, West Nipissing.
The passenger of one vehicle, a 62-year-old female from Sudbury was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other two occupants received minor injuries and were treated by Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
Air Orange and EMS transported four other occupants from the second vehicle to area hospitals. One person received serious life-threating injuries, while the three others had serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the OPP Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction teams to determine the cause of the collision.
