A COLLISION RESULTED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

(SUDBURY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged one person with impaired driving charges after police investigated a motor vehicle collision.
On Friday May 1, 2026, at approximately 3:00 pm, members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP, responded to a single motor vehicle rollover on Highway 17, Sudbury.
After the driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene, police arrested the driver for impaired driving, then transported them to an OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Bradley POIRIER, 26 years old, from New Liskeard was charged with, operation while impaired - alcohol and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 6, 2026, in Sudbury.
The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
