ONE PERSON CHARGED AFTER A COLLISSION ON HIGHWAY 69

(SUDBURY, ON) - One person has been charged after police investigated a motor vehicle collision on Highway 69.
On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at approximately 1:35 am, members of the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision, involving a single Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) on Highway 69, at the Highway 17 junction.
Two occupants in the CMV were transported to the area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 30-year-old male from Edmonton was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.
The accused was issued a Provincial Summons and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on June 12, 2026, in Sudbury.
