IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES LAID AFTER POLICE LOCATED A VEHICLE IN A DITCH

(ATIKAMEKSHENG FIRST NATION, ON) - Police arrested and charged a driver with impaired operation after investigating a vehicle in a ditch.

On Sunday December 14, 2025, at approximately 6:00 pm, Atikameksheng First Nation Police, observed a vehicle in a ditch on Nora Road, Atikameksheng First Nation.

The driver was not injured and was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to an OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Randall MANDAMIN, 51 years-of-age, from Atikameksheng First Nation, was charged with, operation while impaired - alcohol and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on January 28, 2026, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
