OPP IS INVESTIGATING A COLLISSION INVOLVING A PEDESTRIAN ON HIGHWAY 144

(SUDBURY, ON) - One person has been injured after being struck by a motor vehicle on Highway 144.
On Sunday, May 3, 2026, at approximately 11:40 pm, members of the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision, involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian on Highway 144, in Chelmsford.
The pedestrian, a 17-year-old female from Sudbury, was transported to the area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
