DRIVER CHARGED AFTER COLLISION INVOLVING SCHOOL BUS

(HURON EAST, ON) - An individual has been charged after a two-vehicle collision in Huron East
On April 27, 2026, just after 9:00 am, members of the Huron County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Huron County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a report of a collision involving a school bus and SUV at the intersection of Kippen Road and Mill Road in Huron East.
There were no students on board the school bus at the time of the collision. The driver of the SUV was assessed by EMS and cleared medically at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, the driver of the school bus, a 31-year-old individual from West Perth has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless driving.
