(BLUEWATER, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Bluewater resident with criminal driving offences following a traffic stop in the Village of Hensall, Municipality of Bluewater.

Just before 11:00 am on Thursday, February 19, 2026, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on Queen Street in Hensall, following a traffic complaint of a go-kart being driven on the roadway. Officers located and arrested the vehicle driver for impaired and prohibited operation.

The accused was transported to the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton for tests conducted by an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).

Ryley INGHAM, 24 years-of-age from Bluewater has been charged with:

  • Operation while Impaired - Alcohol and drugs, - Operation while Prohibited

The accused was additionally charged with two counts of Driving while Suspended under the Highway Traffic Act.

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was processed and held for a bail hearing where they were later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on March 30, 2026.
