TWO ARRESTED FOLLOWING COLLISION – DRUG CHARGES LAID

(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON) - Two individuals are facing multiple drug-related charges following a single-vehicle collision in the Township of Springwater.
On May 10, 2026, shortly after 11:30 pm, members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Luella Boulevard.
As a result of the investigation, the two occupants of the vehicle were arrested. Officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine and other drugs. Shammar OSBOURNE, 21, of Clearview Township, and Jahiem CARNEGIE, 24, of Ajax, have each been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance - opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
Both accused individuals were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.
