MISCHIEF TO ROADSIDE MEMORIAL RESULTS IN CHARGES

(HURON EAST, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals following an incident that took place on North Line, in the Municipality of Huron East on September 01, 2025.
On Tuesday, September 02, 2025, police were informed of social media posts that were circulating involving mischief to a roadside memorial site on North Line in Huron East.
Police investigated the matter and subsequently arrested and charged the individuals responsible for the crime. They were charged as follows:
Jacob HAMM, (22 years-of-age at the time of the offence) of Huron East has been charged with:
- Mischief Under $5,000, - Indecent Act, - Fail to Comply with Probation
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on February 23, 2026.
Samuel TERPSTRA, (18 years-of-age at the time of the offence) of Huron East has been charged with:
- Mischief Under $5,000, - Indecent Act
