(HURON EAST, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Kitchener resident with several criminal offences following a single-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Huron East on November 07, 2025.

Just after 6:00 pm, on Friday, November 07, 2025, Huron County OPP officers responded to a crash notification on Moncrieff Road in Huron East. Officers located a single-vehicle collision where a vehicle collided with a tree. Officers spoke to the driver who was subsequently arrested for impaired operation. The accused was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilyzer Breath Technician which resulted in readings over the legal limit. A firearm and ammunition was found by police within the damaged vehicle.

Johnathan PERRIE WILLIE, 37 years-of-age from Kitchener has been charged with:

  • Impaired Operation - Alcohol and drugs, - Operation while Impaired - Over 80, - Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on December 22, 2025.
