PERSON CHARGED AFTER BEING CAUGHT WITH STOLEN PROPERTY

(GODERICH, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a North Huron resident with several criminal offences following a report of a dispute in the Town of Goderich.
On Monday, January 26, 2026, Huron County OPP officers responded to a dispute on South Street in Goderich. Officers attended the location and spoke to an individual who was subsequently arrested. A search of the accused revealed stolen property.
Charges were laid as follows:
Michael DALE, 35 years-of-age from North Huron has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, - Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, - Theft of Credit Card, - Possession of Identity Document - (five counts), - Breach of Recognizance, - Causing a Disturbance
The accused was processed, held for a bail hearing and later released from custody with a future court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
