(SOUTH HURON, ON) - On January 02, 2026, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a matter involving intimate partners in the Municipality of South Huron.
As a result of the investigation, OPP learned that the involved suspect had allegedly committed criminal acts against their partner.
A 39-year-old individual from South Huron has been arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:
- Assault - Spousal, - Assault with a Weapon - Spousal, - Forcible Confinement, - Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition, - Breach of Firearms Regulation - Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon
The accused was processed and held in custody for a bail hearing with a later court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
