MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION LEADS TO ARREST OF IMPAIRED DRIVER

(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON)- The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving following a single motor vehicle collision.
On Thursday, January 8, 2026, shortly after 6:00 pm, Huronia West OPP officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 124 near Melville Street in Clearview Township. Officers located the vehicle and conducted an impaired driving investigation. Subsequently, the driver was arrested.
Azure-Dee CASS, a 27-year-old of Christian Island, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on February 17, 2026, to answer to the charges.
