IMPAIRED CHARGES LAID

(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after officers conducted a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) Initiative.
On Saturday, January 17, 2026, at approximately 1:00 am, Renfrew OPP officers were conducting a RIDE initiative in the Town of Arnprior. A vehicle was observed to reverse into a parking lot located near the initiative. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Richard PAULO age 49 of Nepean was charged with:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on February 25, 2026.
