MULTIPLE CHARGES LAID IN INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE CALL

(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to an assault call for service.
On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at approximately 12:00 pm, Renfrew OPP responded to an assault call for service in Greater Madawaska Township.
As a result of the investigation, one person was charged with:
- Eight counts of assault with a weapon
- Four counts of Assault
- Three counts of mischief
- Mischief under $5000
- Cruelty to animals
- Two counts failure to comply with undertaking
- Utter threats- cause death of bodily harm
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
