Highway Re-Opened and Police Looking for Witnesses of Collision

The deceased has been identified as a 77-year-old male from Ottawa.

The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision on Highway 17 near Bruce Street.

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at approximately 10:05 am, Renfrew OPP officers responded to a two-vehicle collision between Storyland Road and Bruce Street. One of the drivers, an adult male from Ottawa, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Four people sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing with assistance from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team, including Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionist.
