R.I.D.E PROGRAM LEADS TO MULTIPLE CHARGES BEING LAID

(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere initiative (R.I.D.E) in Admaston/Bromley Township.
On Friday, February 20, 2026, at approximately 2:10 pm, Renfrew OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E initiative in Admaston/Bromley Township. A vehicle attempted to evade the initiative, and a traffic stop was conducted.
As a result of the investigation, Brent FLEURY age 35 of Horton Township was charged with:
- Operation while prohibited
- Obstruct peace officer
- Possession of a schedule I substance- Methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule I substance- other drug
- Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice
The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 1, 2026.
